Róisín Pierce show at the Embassy, as part of Paris Fashion Week
The Embassy was delighted to participate in Paris Fashion Week and continue to support contemporary Irish creativity, design innovation and heritage craftsmanship by hosting the presentation of Irish designer Róisín Pierce's 2025 collection, ‘Nothing Pure Can Stay’, on 7 March, with the support of the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland.
Róisín Pierce's strong links with France date back to her first collection, which was recognised by leading figures in the French fashion industry and received the sector's highest accolades. Pierce notably won the CHANEL Métiers d'Art Award and the Prix du Public in 2019 and was a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2022.
In 2023, Róisín Pierce became the first Irish fashion brand to be invited to present work in the most prestigious category of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) in Paris.
Róisín Pierce's sixth collection, ‘Nothing Pure Can Stay’, blends Irish crochet with bespoke French embroidery, and is inspired by the sweetness of fleeting memories evoked by snowflakes and Proust's novel ‘À la recherche du temps perdu’, all presented against a backdrop of the traditional Irish hymn ‘My Lagan Love’.
The 2025 collection also features two creative collaborations, with leather bags made in collaboration with French fashion house Polène Paris, and hats in collaboration with milliner Stephen Jones.
The collection will be sold exclusively in selected COMME des GARÇONS and Dover Street Market boutiques, including those in the Marais, and the bags at the Polène Champs Elysée boutique.
