Supporting Solar-powered ICT: a new AI Laboratory at KNOSK Charity School
The Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria was pleased to support the new Solar-powered ICT AI Laboratory at KNOSK Charity School in Kuje, Abuja. Built from retrofitted shipping containers, this facility bridges the digital divide for underserved youth.
The Embassy supported KNOSK school through foundational grants and the donation of desktop computers, and most recently facilitated a collaboration with PW Nigeria ,who generously provided the vital infrastructure for the expansion of the school’s ICT lab..
Together, this partnership has enabled KNOSK school to register with the Nigerian Ministry of Education as a testing centre for national computer-based school exams and to provide training in digital skills to the students.
The lab hosts an innovative AI Learning Platform, turning the national curriculum into interactive lessons. Early 40-day testing shows measurable grade improvements, positioning students for global digital opportunities.
