National and International Engagement
As part of sustaining and growing the sector further, promotion of Ireland as an attractive location by both public and private bodies takes place at a range of national and international events. These will include a range of global events for St Patrick’s Day, which occurs every March, and attendance at many key industry events in Ireland and abroad such as Money 20/20, European Insurance Forum, and Fundforum.
A series of structured promotional activity in Ireland and abroad, including a range of events will take place over 2027 to mark the 40th anniversary of the launch of the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Ireland.
There is an excellent network of support across Team Ireland globally, with dedicated financial attaches in place in London, Brussels, and Washington DC.
Under the ‘Ireland for Finance’ strategy the Department of Finance will work with Regional and Local Market Teams to enhance insights into financial services opportunities in international hubs without Finance attachés. Promotion of international financial services will also be included in Team Ireland Trade Mission Week.
This work is supported by Ministers and senior officials undertaking targeted engagement in key markets and with emerging partners, leveraging the Irish diaspora to advance the strategy.
