Visit to Szczecin - June 2026
The Ambassador visited Szczecin, capital of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship on 4-5 June.
The Ambassador met with Voivode Adam Rudawski, to discuss Irish-Polish bilateral relations, as well as Ireland’s priorities for its upcoming Presidency of the EU. The Ambassador highlighted the strong people to people links between Ireland and Poland, and our growing trade relationship. He also noted that there were direct flights between Dublin and Szczecin.
Around 30 Irish students study at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. The Ambassador met some of the students to hear about their experiences studying in Poland. He visited the University on 5 June and met with the Professors overseeing the English language department.
