Ambassador Haughey visited Opole on 26-27 May.

In meetings with Mayor Arkadiusz Wiśniewski, and Deputy Marshal Robert Węgrzyn the Ambassador highlighted the excellent bilateral relations between Ireland and Poland. The Ambassador also set out the priorities for Ireland’s upcoming Presidency of the European Union, including security, competitiveness and values.

Opole is famous for its annual Festival of Polish song. The Ambassador was delighted to visit the Museum of Polish Song, where you can hear recordings from some of Poland’s most celebrated artists.
