Meet the Fellows 2025/26

“It is my first experience studying abroad so, this signifies breaking barriers. It positions me as a role model for young people from Karamoja who dare to dream of higher education amidst numerous challenges we face.”

John Robert intends to use this study opportunity to focus on learning advanced skills with an international perspective that he can apply in supporting development initiatives in Karamoja on return. He will intentionally work to build international connections and networks through IFP fellows’ alumni network, his academic contacts and the Dublin Business School alumni community. He is confident that being from Karamoja where resilience is integral to daily life he will adapt, persevere and grow through any challenges along this exciting academic journey.

“As a conservation scientist I’m very passionate about the environment. The IFP presents an incredible opportunity for me to be part the global climate solution makers. Studying in Ireland, where climate action is a priority is invaluable in my academic journey.”

Michael will be diving deep into climate science in quest for collaborations and innovations for sustainable solutions that can be applied back home on return. Ireland’s support to empowering change makers from developing countries resonated with his passion.

“I am looking forward to experiencing Irish lifestyle, culture and the intriguing green landscapes. Learning from global experts, peers with diverse backgrounds will enrich the knowledge and skills I’ll bring back home to uplift farmers and communities in Rwanda.”

Knowing well that agriculture is not just about farming but about empowering communities, driving innovation, and creating sustainable futures, Prince saw the IFP as an immense opportunity to positively contribute to Rwanda’s development through modern innovative sustainable agricultural solutions. He is determined to emerge a much stronger leader and change maker in agriculture and community development at the end of his studies in Ireland.
