Ireland and Serbia have maintained diplomatic relations in various capacities since 1977. Today, Ireland and Serbia are committed to deepening our relations. The opening of an Embassy in Belgrade represents Ireland’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between our two great countries.
Ireland and Serbia have maintained diplomatic relations in various capacities since 1977. First with SFR Yugoslavia in 1977, then the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 2006, then the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the latter of which Serbia is considered the sole legal successor.
Today, Ireland and Serbia are committed to deepening our relations. The decision to open an Embassy in Belgrade represents a clear statement of Ireland’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between our two great countries.
