An official website of the Government of Ireland. About ireland.ie

Enduring people-to-people connections, expanding trade links, and a deep appreciation of culture all serve to display the strong relationship between Ireland and the Philippines.

An important step in the relationship was the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1984. Further acknowledging the deep and longstanding connections, an Embassy of Ireland was opened in Manila in 2021.

Our people-to-people connections are evident when we look at the movement between our populations. The Filipino community in Ireland is the largest community from any southeast Asian country and with a growing number of Irish living in the Philippines, our communities and diaspora continue to deepen the cultural exchange between our two countries.
