Residence permit

All EU nationals have the right to live in Malta through the 'right of residence'. This right is held whether the individual is working in Malta or not working however they must have sufficient financial means to support themselves.

EU nationals do not require a visa to enter Malta.

If you intend to remain in Malta for an extended period, you should contact Identity Malta who are responsible for processing and issuing of residence documentation. Further information can be found on the Malta government website page:

Working in Malta

EU nationals who would like to work in Malta do not require an employment licence however you should contact the EURES advisors in order to check any specific requirements.
