Ireland in Malawi: Mission Strategy 2021–2026
This Mission Strategy, covering the period 2021-2026, sets out the approach Ireland will take to deepening our relationship with Malawi and promoting our shared values and interests.
The Strategy is framed by the priorities set out in ‘The Global Island: Ireland’s Foreign Policy for a Changing World', and ‘A Better World, Ireland’s Policy for International Development’, and is well aligned with Malawi’s national development plans and evolving political and economic priorities.
The Strategy also draws upon Ireland’s experience and learning from our longstanding relationship with Malawi, in particular since the establishment of our Embassy in 2007 and the setting up of our official development programme.
