There's A Lot I Haven't Asked - Podcast Launch Night

After much anticipation, you can now listen to the fantastic There’s a Lot I Haven’t Asked podcast created by Hannah Donelon. Across eight episodes, the podcast series explores the experiences of Irish migration to Manchester from the 1940s to 1970s and the impact of its legacy on present day. The series also includes original music composed and arranged by Michael McGoldrick.

The Consulate is extremely proud to have supported this project and we were delighted to host the launch event for it this May, which you can watch on Irish in the UK TV here. The evening included remarks from Consul General Mangan, short stories, live music, and of course a Q&A with the podcast’s creator.

Huge congratulations to Hannah and everyone who took part in the podcast for creating such an impactful tribute to the experiences of so many members of the Irish community, both in Manchester and the North of England more broadly. The Irish community’s complex and deeply personal experiences of migration have been brought to life through Hannah’s work and we are certain the podcast will be listened to for years to come.
