Permanent Representation of Ireland to the European Union

The Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU brings together civil servants from nearly every Irish Government department, making it the State’s largest diplomatic mission abroad.

Our main function is to promote and represent Ireland’s interests in the EU. We work to shape EU policies and ambitions to reflect Ireland’s interests and values and contribute to deepening cooperation with our European partners.
