"Sounds of Ireland" Competition Launch

The Embassy is proud to partner with the Brussels Chamber Ensemble for the Irish Presidency Closing Concert.

As part of the occasion, BCE is launching the “Sounds of Ireland” Composition Competition ahead of the official Irish Presidency Concert of the Council of the European Union.

The closing concert will take place at Flagey Studio 4, Brussels, on 8 December 2026.

The selected composer will receive:

• The chance to perform a live performance at Flagey (Brussels)
• A professional recording of the performance
• An award of €1000
• An invitation to attend the concert and award ceremony

Submissions close on 15 September 2026.
