St Patrick's Day (Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is around the corner, and the Embassy has compiled a list of events to help you celebrate Ireland in Belgium!

St Patrick's Day is quickly approaching and the Embassy is looking forward to all the festivities! Our community here in Belgium are organising some fantastic events and we hope to see you celebrating St Patrick's Day.

St Patrick's Day Parade
15ú Márta - 15 March
The annual St Patrick's Day Parade organised by the Irish in Europe group will take place on Sunday 15 March.
Marching from Les Halles Saint-Géry at 13:30 and finishing at Grand Place, everyone is invited to wear green and join!
Other activities for children will also take place during the day and there will be traditional Irish dance and music.

Inaugural Belgian Cup

Announcing the inaugural Belgian Cup for men's Gaelic Football.
On the 15th of March, the men's Gaelic Football teams of Craobh Rua Brussels and the Earls of Leuven will battle it out to lift the first ever Belgian Cup.
Ambassador Kevin Conmy will attend and present the cup at the end of the game.
Beforehand, there will be an exhibition of Gaelic Games from the stars of the future - EC Gaelic Club Brussels!
Join the team at the VUB for an afternoon of craic and competition- followed by some drinks at the Black Sheep.
St Patrick's Day in the EU Quarter

On Tuesday, March 17, the Schuman‑Monnet Quarter will be "the place to be" to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
From the first days of March, the shops on Archimède, Stevin and Franklin streets will be dressed in the colours of Ireland and other initiatives will be launched to announce the event.
Flags will be hung at the crossroads of the aforementioned streets, ten thousand postcards will be distributed in the letterboxes of surrounding streets, while collectors of original beer mats will have the opportunity to enrich their collections by visiting 10 of the participating establishments and restaurants — which, on March 17, will be bubbling with activity.

Manneken-Pis celebrates St Patrick's Day, the national holiday of Ireland, by wearing his costume.
Greeting at 11 am.

The Irish Ball

The Irish Club of Belgium asbl is delighted to once again be hosting the annual Irish Charity Ball of Brussels.
The Ball will take place on Saturday 21 March 2026 under the patronage of the Irish Ambassador to Belgium, at the prestigious Steigenberger Hotel on Avenue Louise.
Last year, the Ball raised €7,500 for charity through the generous participation of patrons and sponsors in the charity tombola.
This year, the Irish Club will continue supporting three children’s charities:
· Salus Sanguinis, a charity for children with blood cancers treated at Clinique St Luc.
· Ecole Chanterelle, a school for children with disabilities located in the Marolles.
· Jack and Jill Foundation, an Irish charity which funds in-home nursing care and respite support to families caring for children with severe learning disabilities and complex medical needs.
TICKETS:
* €135 for individual bookings
* €1,250 for a table of 10 guests.
A ticket includes:
* A Champagne reception
* A three-course silver-service dinner
* Live music, dancing, and a DJ
* An open bar.
