Welcome message

Céad míle fáilte romhaibh. Welcome to the website of the Consulate General of Ireland in Los Angeles.

I am honoured to have been appointed Consul General in Los Angeles, representing Ireland in Southern California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. The Consulate General in LA was officially opened in 2019, by then Taoiseach Leo Varadkar; since then, we have been building links with our vibrant Irish communities across the Pacific Southwest and reaching out to new partners.

The Consulate is particularly focused on developing relations with the creative industries in Los Angeles, showcasing Ireland’s world-class performers, musicians, writers and technology experts. We also work closely with Irish Government Agencies based in California – including Screen Ireland, Culture Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, the IDA and Tourism Ireland – to promote Ireland culturally and commercially.

This website contains information on the work of the Consulate and the services that we offer to Irish citizens that I hope you will find useful. You can also follow our activities on Instagram and Twitter and, if you are interested in receiving our periodic newsletter, please do get in touch.
