Temporary EU Presidency Policy Officer

The Embassy of Ireland to the Kingdom of the Netherlands invites applications for the temporary position of EU Presidency Policy Officer (a 9 or 10 month contract ending 31 December 2026). This is a full-time paid role to support the Embassy team during and in preparation for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Applicants must have the permanent legal right to reside and work in the Netherlands.

Applicants must have a minimum C1 level of English and Dutch, both spoken and written, as the ability to work in both languages at a high level is key. Knowledge of EU affairs and the Dutch political landscape are very relevant to the role.
