Visit Ireland

Tourism Ireland’s St Patrick’s 2025 programme spans Great Britain, Europe, North America and Australia.

St Patrick’s Day 2025

St Patrick’s Day offers a unique opportunity for the island of Ireland. Tourism Ireland will undertake a major programme of media, travel trade and consumer promotions to capitalise on Ireland’s heightened profile around 17th March. Its programme will span Great Britain, Europe, North America and Australia.

Tourism Ireland will be using every opportunity to capitalise on Ireland’s heightened profile this week; the saturation coverage about the island of Ireland across the global airwaves, in newspapers and digital media is an invaluable boost for our overall 2025 tourism promotional drive.

Global Greenings

Global Greenings have been a way to invite everyone around the world to celebrate St Patrick’s Day since 2010. Tourism Ireland took a pause at the outbreak of war in Ukraine and during the ensuing energy crisis. However, communities still chose to light up landmarks in green. Together with DFAT, Tourism Ireland will support Global Greenings for St Patrick’s Day 2025 – working with selected iconic landmarks in key tourism markets and providing a toolkit for additional locations that wish to get involved.

The organisation will host TV presenters on the ground, streaming the Dublin festival, some of our regional St Patrick’s Day Festivals and travel tips from around the island across the world.

Ireland Weeks

Tourism Ireland will bring a taste of the action around the world – including its Ireland Week activities in Madrid, Milan, Paris and Switzerland, as well as its support for St Patrick’s Day parades and festivals in cities around the world.
