Ireland is participating in the G20 this year as part of South Africa’s presidency.

The G20 brings together 20 of the world’s leading economies to discuss global issues. Participating in the G20 is an opportunity for Ireland to help shape international approaches on issues of global importance, including inclusive economic growth and sustainable development.

The invitation for Ireland to participate as a guest country reflects Ireland’s strong relationship with South Africa, our status as a dynamic and open trading economy, and our proud track record of championing sustainable development.
