Travel Advice

Information on entry rules when travelling to Moldova from Ireland is available. Please note that Irish citizens are currently advised against all non-essential travel to Moldova.

Citizens' registration
Irish citizens living in or travelling to Romania, Republic of Moldova or North Macedonia are encouraged to register on the Citizens Registration platform.
Passport services
Irish citizens who require a passport should apply using the Passport Online service. Find more information on the requirements on our How to apply for a passport page.
In a limited amount of cases you may not be apply to apply online, in which case you should contact the Embassy.
If you have an Emergency Travel Document query, please contact the Embassy. Please note that Emergency Travel Documents can only be issued in cases of genuine, unforseen emergency, and cannot be used as a substitute for a valid passport.

Visa applications from residents of the Republic of Moldova
Visa applications from residents of the Republic of Moldova should be made via the Honorary Consulate of Ireland in Chisinau.
