Ireland Week returns to Rome in 2026! We have compiled a list of events taking place in the city to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day and the Emerald Isle.
Irish dancing
When: Saturday, 7 March at 10 AM
Where: Teatro Furio Camillo (Via Camilla 44, 00181, Rome)
Discover Irish dancing with Clover Danze Irlandesi.
Céilí dance
When: Friday, 13 March at 6 PM
Where: Irish College (Via dei SS. Quattro 1, 00184, Rome)
Join the Irish community for an evening of traditional Irish dance, organised with ROIS Irish dancing school. Beginners welcome!
GAA open day
When: Saturday, 14 March, 11 AM – 12:30 PM
Where: Piazza di Siena (Villa Borghese), 00197, Rome
Experience Ireland's National Sport, at an open day and demonstration of Gaelic Games with the Rome Hibernia GAA club in Villa Borghese.
Green the city with Retake Roma
When: Saturday, 14 March, 12:30 PM – 2 PM
Where: Casa del Cinema, Largo Marcello Mastroianni (Villa Borghese), 00197, Rome
Join Retake Roma and the Embassy of Ireland in Rome for a St. Patrick's Day clean-up and some Irish goodies in Villa Borghese.
Sustainable greening initiative
When: Tuesday, 17 March at 10 AM
Where: Villa De Sanctis Park (entrance Via dei Gordiani, 10, 00177, Rome)
The Embassy is renewing its partnership with the Comune di Roma to add a touch of Irish green to the Villa De Sanctis Park.
Open House Villa Spada
When: Saturday, 21 March, 09:30 – 13:00
Where: Villa Spada (Via Giacomo Medici 1, 00153, Rome)
The Villa Spada will be opened to the public, subject to prior online registration, on Saturday, 21st March from 9:30am to 2:00pm, with FAI volunteers giving tours of the Villa and its history.
