Latest visa updates

Completed visa applications and documentation from Kosovan football fans planning to travel  to Dublin for the UEFA Nations League football match against Ireland on Tuesday 17th November should be sent via courier to Embassy Budapest.

The deadline for the Embassy to receive the full visa application package including all supporting documentation is close of business on Monday 26th October 2026.

1. Complete and print the online application form
2. Send the full application with your original passport, photos and supporting documentation via courier to:

Kosovan passport holders are exempt from visa application fees. Courier fees must be paid by the applicant.

Other passport holders resident in Kosovo should request bank details in order to proceed with their visa applications by sending a Visa Queries submission on the Embassy contact form.

Please note that Kosovan passport holders with a valid UK multiple-entry visitor visa are entitled to travel from the UK to Ireland without an Irish visa. Please read carefully the information on irishimmigration.ie.

Note: Applications received after the deadline of Monday 26th October may not be processed in time to allow for travel for the match date of 17th November.

From 2024, Visa applications for travel to Ireland for residents of Kosovo should be sent to the Embassy of Ireland, Budapest. Applicants should apply online on the Irish Immigration Service website and the online application will be assigned to Embassy of Ireland, Budapest.

Applicants should then send all required documentation and their passport by courier to:

We only accept documentation via courier.

We do not send confirmation of parcel receipt. Please check the waybill to confirm if your parcel was received. If not, you should contact the courier service.

When a decision is made, the Embassy will contact the applicant to hire a courier for the return of the passport. The cost of the courier must be pre-paid by the applicant.
