Consul General Anne-Marie Flynn
Anne-Marie Flynn was appointed as Ireland’s second Consul General in Frankfurt in August 2021. Before taking up her assignment in Frankfurt, Anne-Marie served as Deputy Director of the Strategy, Governance and Change Unit at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin, working on corporate governance issues.
Prior to that, Anne-Marie was Deputy Director of the Department’s Economic Coordination Unit and Deputy Commissioner General for Ireland’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai. Anne-Marie also served as Deputy Consul General at the Irish Consulate in Edinburgh from 2015 to 2018, and worked in the Department’s International Security Policy Section, focussing on EU Common Security and Defence Policy issues.
Anne-Marie holds a BA in English Literature and German from Trinity College, Dublin, and an MA in International Relations and Higher Diploma in Economics from University College Dublin.
Deputy Consul General Ioana Miron
Ioana took up her current assignment as Deputy Consul General in January 2026. Ioana works closely with the Consul General and the Consulate team across a range of areas, leading on public diplomacy, consular affairs and engagement with the Irish community. Immediately prior to taking up duty in Frankfurt, Ioana was the Project Manager for the establishment of the first Embassy of Ireland in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova. Previously, Ioana managed the project for the opening of the Consulate General of Ireland in Munich. Ioana also worked in the Property Management Unit, gaining experience in artwork management and maintenance across Ireland’s diplomatic missions’ network.
Ioana studied Modern Languages (English, Russian) at the University of Bucharest. She also holds a BA in European Studies and International Relations from Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and an MA in International Relations from University College Dublin.
Martina Klingbeil-Sadowski
Martina has been working with the Consulate since October 2019, having previously worked with Australian and Canadian governmental representations in Frankfurt. Martina manages public communications, deals with certain consular, legal and administrative issues and has a key role in relation to the Consulate's event management functions.
Emily Kenny
Emily started working at the Consulate in September 2023. She is originally from Ireland, but grew up in Frankfurt. Her duties at the Consulate primarily relate to financial administration and social media management. Prior to joining the Consulate team, Emily worked in the arts sector in Scotland. She holds a BSc in Theoretical Physics from the University of Glasgow, and further qualifications in creative disciplines.
Aisling Dolan
Aisling joined the Consulate team in December 2024. She is originally from Dublin, Ireland, but has been living in Frankfurt for several years. Her main responsibilities at the Consulate relate to office and property management, as well as supporting the provision of consular service. Prior to joining the team, Aisling worked as a Legal Analyst in the Legislation Division of the European Central Bank.
Aisling holds a LLB in Law (International) from Maynooth University, and a MSC in Public Policy and Human Development from the United Nations University MERIT in Maastricht.
