Consular fees

The following is a list of fees charged for services carried out by the Embassy. For further details on these services, please check the relevant section of our website.

Visa and Working Holiday Fees

Single entry visa $95
Multiple entry visa $155
Working Holiday Authorisation $95
Working Holiday Authorisation: issued in 5 working days $195

Fee Exemptions
Some visa applicants are exempt from paying visa fees.

Please see further information on fee exemptions here.

Family Members of Irish Citizens:

You may be exempt from visa fees if you are the family member of an Irish citizen.

Family members of Irish citizens who are exempt from visa fees include:

  • Spouse
  • Widow/Widower
  • Child (Under 18 - includes adopted children)

Please note the fee exemption may only be applied where documentary evidence is submitted.

Passports

Passport Online is now open to all applicants, including those resident in Australia. This includes passport renewals, first time passport applicants and children.

All applications must now be made online as paper applications are no longer being processed.

In cases of genuine emergency, the Embassy can produce emergency travel documents which are non-biometric and are of limited validity.

An application for a full passport is required and the fees below are in addition to the fee for a full passport.

Payment Methods

Fees for consular services can be paid by:

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT);
  • Australia Post Money Order; or
  • Bank Cheque/Draft (made out to Embassy of Ireland)
